FAIRBORN —

Wright State’s last opponent in the Bracketbuster event, which is being discontinued after this season, will be Evansville.

The 122-team field, featuring teams from 15 conferences, was announced Monday night.

The Raiders will play the Purple Aces at 2 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Nutter Center, with a women’s game against Milwaukee to follow at 4:30 p.m.

Evansville is 13-10 and in fourth place in the Missouri Valley Conference at 6-5. It has played four teams that were ranked in the top 25 when they played, losing to Notre Dame, Butler and Creighton and beating then-No. 23 Wichita State 71-67 on Jan. 13.

Wright State and Evansville have played only once. On March 10, 1976, Wright State lost 85-75 at Evansville in the first round of the NCAA Division II tournament.

The teams have one common opponent this season: Miami. Wright State beat Miami 67-59 on Dec. 19, and Evansville beat Miami 94-68 on Dec. 5.

Wright State will play at Evansville either next season or in 2014-15.

Lineup: Wright State coach Billy Donlon left open the possibility of a change to the starting lineup or rotation after the Raiders lost three games in a row.

Wright State started the same five players as it’s been doing most of the season: Reggie Arceneaux, Matt Vest, Cole Darling, Tavares Sledge and Kendall Griffin.

Jerran Young and Sledge’s minutes were limited in the first half because they each picked up two fouls. The only noticeable change to the minutes early was Bobo Drummond coming off the bench for a brief stint. Drummond hadn’t played in the last six games.

Road trip: The Raiders leave Wednesday on a chartered flight to Milwaukee. They’ll bus to third-place Green Bay (12-11, 6-4) for an 8 p.m. game Thursday and then play last-place Milwaukee (5-18, 1-8) at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Saturday’s game will air on Time Warner Ch. 1311 or 311 on tape delay. The broadcast will begin at 9 p.m.
