Tori Turner and Nicole Soutar of Lakota West won the Division I district girls tennis doubles title at Mason on Saturday.
Soutar and Turner defeated Taylor Holden and Maddy Mueck of Lakota East in the final 7-6, 5-7, 6-4. They beat Nanki Hura and Sophia Southard of Sycamore in the semifinals. Hura and Southard won the third-place match.
Boys soccer
Cin. Christian 7, Fayetteville Perry 1: Matt Kinkopf scored four goals to lead Cincy Christian (14-1-1). Kinkopf has 41 goals for the season and leads the Cincinnati area.
Cross country
SWBL Championships: Oakwood’s Mary Kate Vaughn ran away with the girls title in the Southwestern Buckeye League Southwestern Championship.
Vaughn ran a 17:39, beating second-place Michelle McKinney of Eaton by over a minute. McKinney ran a 18:50. Mackie Keller of Oakwood was third with 18:51, Courtney Swain of Bellbrook was fourth with 19:24 and Taylor Broermann of Eaton fifth with 19:26.
Oakwood won the team title with 33 points. Eaton was second with 41, Bellbrook third with 61, Brookville fourth with 140 and Valley View fifth with 159.
In the SWBL Buckeye Division, Emily Gill of Waynesville took first with a 20:40. Teammate Jaime Reeves was second with a 21:45. Sarah Good of Dixie was third, also running a 21:45. Taylor Daniels of Waynesville was fourth with a 21:49. Michelle Brunswick of Madison was fifth with a 22:06.
Waynesville won the team title with 36, Madison was second with 39 and Dixie third with 67.
Connor Lunsford of Milton-Union won the SWBL Buckeye boys division with a 17:23. Teammate Troy Tyree was second with 17:29, Micah Bach of Dixie third, also running a 17:29, Kyle Swartz of Milton-Union fourth with a 17:41 and Corey Hawk of Dixie fifth with a 17:46.
Milton-Union won the SWBL Buckeye boys team crown with 22. Dixie was second with 49, Waynesville third with 60, Madison fourth with 120 and Northridge fifth with 139.
In the SWBL Southwestern boys, Jeremy Ruppert of Franklin won with a 15:46. Zach Bussard of Valley View was second with a 16:19, Kyle Bussard of Valley View third with a 16:31, Brad Miller of Bellbrook fourth with a 16:36 and Brandon Bennett of Eaton fifth with a 16:46.
Oakwood won with 43. Eaton was second with 71 and Bellbrook third with 74.
SWOC Championships: Cameron Meek of Edgwood took first in the boys race with a 16:57.10. Talawanda won the team event with 56. Ross was second with 86. Brandon Beard of Ross was sixth with a 17:08.78.
Jessica Tegge, Jessica Starrett and Sarah Starrett swept the top three spots in girls for Talawanda, which won the team event with 18. Ross was second with 41. Katelyn Goins of Ross finished fourth with 20:47.09.
