Lakota West boys blank Milford

Richard McLane scored twice to lead Lakota West High School past Milford 4-0 in Thursday’s boys soccer sectional.

Ransika Liyanage and David Piotrowski each scored goals. Joe McClanahan had two saves and Jake Mutlu one as the two combined for the shutout.

Lakota West (12-1-2) will host Sycamore on Monday.

Monroe 2, Oakwood 1: Monroe won the game 5-4 on penalty kicks when keeper Ben Laphman blocked the last game-tying attempt by Oakwood.

Skylar Halsey had the game-winning penalty kick for Monroe. Ethan Jeffers scored in regulation to tie the game.

Springboro 4, Tecumseh 2: Kris Priddy, Justin Elias and Jon Leis each had a goal and an assist for Springboro (6-9-2).

Centerville 5, Talawanda 0: Kevin Seebacher and Brad Schluter each had a goal and an assist for Centerville (13-2-1). Justin Niswonger and Amer Dallal split the shutout.

Lebanon 10, Stebbins 0: Emmett Kresslein had five goals and two assists in the first half for Lebanon. Tyler Allen had four saves and his ninth shutout.

Cin. Christian 2, Clark Montessori 0: Matt Lustig and Matt Kinkopf each scored goals for Cin. Christian (15-1-1).

Keeper Brandon Weer had four saves.

Volleyball

Talawanda 3, Oakwood 2: Oakwood won the first two games, but dropped the last three to Talawanda.

Abby Coyle had 17 kills and six blocks for Oakwood. Ali Lamb had 38 digs.
