Badin’s Morris stars in Holiday Classic

Hannah Morris from Badin High School was the top girls bowler in the Holiday Classic held at S&S Western Bowl. Morris bowled a 640 (157-266-217) and Badin placed 8th overall. Other high scorers from Badin were Brianna Smith with a 536 and Malory Conese with a 184 game.

Mason placed 2nd (3720), Fairfield 5th (3610), Hamilton 14th (2309), Lakota East 24th (1782) and Cincinnati Christian 25th (1741). Angela Hinkle from Fairfield placed 5th on the all-tournament team.

On the boys side, Fairfield placed 10th (2828), Hamilton 12th (2810), Mason 20th (2649), Cincinnati Christian 27th (2240) and Lakota East 30th (1790). Dalton Detherage of Hamilton finished 5th on the all-tournament team with a 673.

Girls basketball

New Miami 26, Clark Montessori 18: The Vikings (1-2, 1-2 MVC) held Clark to three second half points to pick up their first win of the season (last year’s team folded after two games). Casey Burr led New Miami with 11 points and 13 rebounds, and McKayla Wallen had 14 rebounds.

Lakota West 55, Colerain 41: Lauren Cannatelli had 19 points and 5 assists and Rachel Tomasic added 11 for West (4-1).

Gymnastics

Mason finished first at the Forest Hills Flip Fest Invitational.

Brooke Middleton won the vault, Audrey Harpen won beam, Crystal Kratzer took first in floor and Gabby Sora won the all-around.

Lakota East placed 5th, Hamilton was 14th and and Fairfield finished 16th.
