Miami stats: Quarterback Zac Dysert is 91-of-138 for 897 yards and five touchdowns with three interceptions. The top receivers are Dawan Scott (16 catches, 233 yards, two TDs), Andy Cruse (29 catches, 163 yards, two TDs), Nick Harwell (11 catches, 141 yards, 1 TD) and Steve Marck (nine catches, 135 yards). The leading rushers are Jamire Westbrook (34 carries, 158 yards, 1 TD) and Spencer Treadwell (33 carries, 125 yards, 1 TD).

Akron stats: Quarterback Dalton Williams is 121-of-201 for 1,233 yards and 10 touchdowns with six interceptions. The top receivers are Marquelo Suel (32 catches, 352 yards, 3 TDs), L.T. Smith (17 catches, 160 yards, 2 TDs), Zach D’Orazio (15 catches, 197 yards) and Keith Sconiers (15 catches, 178 yards). The leading rushers are Jawon Chisholm (51 carries, 242 yards) and Quentin Hines (21 carries, 139 yards, 1 TD).

Airing it out: Akron is ranked ninth in the Football Bowl Subdivision in passing offense, averaging 340.75 yards per game. Redshirt freshman Kyle Pohl, a Valley View High School graduate, is 8-of-14 for 130 yards and three touchdowns with one interception in a backup role.

Beyond .500: A win today would give Miami a winning record for the first time since the end of the 2010 season.

Dueling punters: Zach Paul is averaging 43.4 yards per punt for Akron, while Zac Murphy has a 41.0 average for MU.

A long time: The RedHawks haven’t blanked an opponent since beating the Zips 7-0 on Nov. 14, 2007.

Not-so-friendly confines: Akron is 6-14 in three-plus seasons at InfoCision Stadium. Miami was 1-5 on the road last season.
