About Ball State: The Cardinals are on a four-game losing streak and dropped a 66-63 decision to visiting Buffalo on Wednesday. … Majok is the MAC’s leading rebounder with a 10.2 average. He hails from Perth, Australia, but was born in South Sudan. He played two years at a prep school in Massachusetts and two years at Midland College in Texas. … Ball State is scoring 62.1 points per game and giving up an average of 66.4. … Scaife has 1,034 points and 163 treys during his BSU career.

About Miami: The RedHawks lead this series 59-36 and have won 11 of the last 12 meetings. They haven’t lost to BSU at home since Jan. 17, 2004. … Miami is 1-9 this season when it’s tied or trailing at halftime. … Senior center Vince Legarza isn’t playing a lot off the bench, but is 3 of 4 from the field in the last four games. … MU is in a four-way tie for third place in the MAC East. Akron and Ohio are 5-0, and the RedHawks, Kent State, Buffalo and Bowling Green are all 2-3.

Coach John Cooper on Ball State: “What I like about them is they kind of stay in character. Their guys that are shooters, that’s what they do. And the guys that aren’t shooters, they don’t. They understand who they are. They’re a man team, but they sit more in the gaps. They’re going to force you to take shots and try to score from the outside over them. We’ve got to be able to get some ball movement and change sides of the court and attack some gaps and seams.”
