A total of 2,709 single-family permits were issued through November in Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren counties compared to 2,370 in 2016, a 14.3 percent overall increase, according to the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati.

Warren County continues to have the most overall number of permits, with a total of 1,196 single-family permits from January through November, a 22.7 percent increase from last year.

Hamilton Twp. in Warren County continues to lead the region with a total of 277 single-family permits through November.

Butler County’s Liberty Twp. was close behind, reporting 259 permits during this period, resulting in a slight overall county uptick of 1.5 percent.

The top 10 markets for single-family home permits through November were:

  3. Mason (Warren): 158
  4. Deerfield Twp. (Warren): 148
  5. Clearcreek Twp. (Warren): 130
  6. Batavia Twp. (Clermont County): 125
  7. Turtlecreek Twp. (Warren): 116
  8. Cincinnati (Hamilton County): 94
  9. West Chester Twp. (Butler): 85
  10. South Lebanon (Warren): 80

“It’s a good time to be in the housing business, whether you’re a buyer, seller or builder,” said HBA Executive Director Dan Dressman. “The existing home inventory is low, current home values have returned and new homes remain affordable for a large percentage of potential buyers in the Greater Cincinnati region.”
