After the owners of the Montessori School in West Chester Twp. took them to court, West Chester Twp. trustees are expected to sell the historic Station Road schoolhouse tonight for $250,000.

Jamie and James Minniear, who own the Montessori school in Olde West Chester, were going to buy the township-owned school house in May, until the West Chester Twp. Board of Zoning Appeals nixed the plan. The couple appealed the decision to the Butler County Common Pleas Court in July.

Township spokeswoman Barb Wilson said the trustees plan to approve the sale of the school and authorize the law director to draft a consent decree, settling the lawsuit.

Minniear said she can’t discuss the new deal until after the trustees approve it tonight. She previously told the Journal-News they are running out of room at their Cincinnati Dayton Road location, so they plan to build a 3,800-square-foot addition onto the historic schoolhouse so it can house new fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade programs.
