Jesse Lewis, 20, of Middletown, was charged with receiving stolen property after police found him with a Smith & Wesson .380 caliber gun that was reported stolen.

Middletown police arrested three Middletown men with various crimes after police responded to the 500 block of Young Street on Wednesday on a report that shots were fired in the area.

Jesse Lewis, 20, was charged with receiving stolen property and Keegan Payne, 19, was charged with discharging a firearm within city limits, according to the police report.

A 14-year-old juvenile, who had a warrant for felonious assault and burglary through the Butler County Detention Center, was transported back to the center, the police report said.

The three subjects were found in a garage in the 500 block of Baltimore Street, according to the police report.

Lewis told police he purchased the gun, a Smith & Wesson Bodyguard .380, off Craigslist, but he was unable to tell police who sold him the gun.

Police also found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the detached garage.
