Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones said foul play is not suspected in Eversole’s death.

“The preliminary investigation does not appear that foul play is a factor in this incident. We will continue this investigation to confirm that,” Jones said.

Eversole, 35 of Hamilton, was reported missing in April 2016.

His identification was confirmed by the coroner’s office through dental records.

The cause and manner of his death are still pending.

The case remains under investigation by the coroner’s office and the Butler County Sheriff’s Department.

Eversole’s remains were found by a hiker, according to the sheriff’s office.
