Raising Cane’s opens new location in Fairfield

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers today opened its new location at 5120 Dixie Highway.

The 2,900-square-foot Fairfield restaurant is Butler County’s second Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, and the sixth in the region. Grand opening festivities today include promotional giveaways of menu items, meals, gift baskets and merchandise, according to spokeswoman Andria Morgan.

Formed in 1996, Louisiana-based Raising Cane’s serves “always fresh, never-ever frozen” chicken fingers, which are marinated for 24 hours, then hand battered and cooked to order. Also featured on the menu are crinkle-cut fries, cole slaw, Texas Toast and Cane’s Sauce.

Tim McCarthy founded the Ohio franchise business RCO Limited in 2004.

Hiring at the new location is an ongoing effort, Morgan said.

“Right now we’ve hired 65 people and we’re always looking to grow our Caniac Culture team,” she said.

The new location, Raising Cane’s 21st in Ohio, joins the more than 500 now open nationwide. Raising Cane’s Ohio continues to look for new areas in which to open throughout southwest Ohio, including Butler County, Morgan said.

The Fairfield location of Raising Cane's replaces a dated strip plaza at Ohio 4 and Stadium Drive that once housed the Armed Forces Career Center.

A Raising Cane’s restaurant that opened in 2015 in West Chester Twp. was the first Cincinnati-area location. Since then, restaurants have opened in Clifton, Eastgate, Springdale and Florence, Ky.

Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sundays to Thursdays and 10:30 a.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays.
