UPDATE: @ 4:30 PM: Fairfield Twp. police Sgt. Doug Lanier said Fairfield Twp. detectives are working with the Hamilton Police Department due to similarities between this robbery and two robberies in Hamilton last week.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5-foot-7, medium build, with a short beard. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, long-sleeve gray shirt underneath a white T-shirt, gray sweat pants, and black shoes.

The man suspected of robbing two Hamilton banks last week is suspected in Thursday afternoon’s bank robbery in Fairfield Twp.

Fairfield Twp. police Sgt. Doug Lanier said the description is similar to the man who robbed the Fifth Third Bank on NW Washington Blvd., and the US Bank on Main Street in the city of Hamilton.

The suspect in those robberies is described as a white man with dark facial hair, wearing a long-sleeved black shirt, black baseball cap and gray sweatpants. Lanier said investigators are working on a description for the suspect in Thursday’s robbery.

The Butler County Sheriff’s Office and Fairfield Twp. police are on the scene at the Huntington Bank, 3333 Princeton Road at the Bridgewater Falls shopping plaza, investigating a bank robbery.

Investigators said confirmed the robbery happened at 12:28 p.m. when police were dispatched to the bank after receiving a call for help.

Law enforcement is on the scene canvassing for clues. The investigation is on-going.
