Police reports: Bras, panties stolen from discount store

Jan. 3

An Ohio State grill cover, a Western shirt, a pair of Western-style boots, and a queen bed set were reported stolen between 4:45 and 7:15 p.m. Jan. 2 from a residence in the 700 block of Rockford Drive. The items, valued at nearly $2,400, were taken as residents were in the process of moving out.

Jan. 7

A picnic table valued at $325 was stolen about 9:10 p.m. Jan. 4 from Flubs, 997 Eaton Ave. The theft was recorded on surveillance video.

An assault was reported about 3 p.m. in the area of Lane and Long Street.

The windshield, tires and mirror were damaged on a vehicle that was parked overnight in the 1400 block of Diana Drive. A second vehicle was also damaged in the driveway at the same address.

Someone attempted to make purchases between 3 p.m. Jan. 6 and 1 a.m. Jan. 7 on a credit card that was issued to a resident in the 200 block of Rockford Drive.

Jan. 8

An assault was reported about 11:20 a.m. at the intersection of North Third and Dayton streets.

A person stole the driver’s license and a paycheck for $260.40 on Dec. 11 from the 1000 block of Main Street and cashed it at a nearby gas station. The theft was reported Jan. 8.

Two people forced their way into a residence between 12:30 and 1:45 p.m. in the 800 block of Greenwood Avenue and stole two handguns and some cash.

A window was broken during an overnight break-in of a residence in the 1300 block of Hanover Street.

Two juveniles were arrested about 5:15 p.m. after stealing a pink bra and a two pairs of panties from Dots, 90 Brookwood Drive. One of the juveniles attempted to flee the store, while the other was located by police several blocks away.

Someone forced their way between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. through the front door of an apartment in the 300 block of Hampshire Drive. A safe containing several knifes, miscellaneous jewelry and other personal documents, as well as a PlayStation 3 game system and several old cell phones, were stolen during the burglary.

Someone attempted to burglarize a residence between 1 and 4 p.m. in the 100 block of Sherman Avenue. The suspect attempted to go through the first floor windows, the back door and the a second floor window.

A resident awoke to a loud sound about 7:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Dayton Street and found a person attempting to pry up a side window. The suspect said the resident’s son wanted him to come over but the son said that was not the case. The suspect left on foot and the resident found the rear door had been damaged.

Someone broke the rear driver’s side window of a car that was parked overnight in the 200 block of Warwick Avenue. The rear driver’s side window to a second vehicle was also damaged in the same block.

An assault was reported about 7:40 a.m. in the 100 block of Starr Avenue.

A 32-inch television was stolen overnight from a residence in the 400 block of Park Avenue while the resident was asleep.

A person was taken into custody about 11:26 a.m. after attempting to pass a stolen prescription at the Walgreen’s drug store, 1090 High St. The person was found in a vehicle in the store’s parking lot.

A resident in the 0 to 100 block of Hurm Street told police that he heard gunshots outside his residence about 2:20 p.m. and that two of the shots went into the resident’s apartment and one went into the driver’s side window of the victim’s vehicle.

Jan. 9

Three 65-gallon recycling trash bins were stolen between Dec. 1 and Jan. 6 from a rental property in the 800 block of Greenwood Avenue.

A car battery was stolen and battery wires were cut on a vehicle that was parked overnight in the 1000 block of St. Clair Avenue.
