Porsche enthusiasts will have to wait until August to see the parade of vehicles in Oxford as weather has postponed the annual event.
The annual Red Brick Reunion originally scheduled for Saturday, June 20, will now take place Aug. 8, according to Jessica Greene, executive director of the Oxford Visitors Bureau.
“We need a little help from Mother Nature. She has a seat on our committee,” Greene previously told this media outlet, adding that weather will always play a role in the success of outdoor events.
“Since Tropical Storm Bill has decided to visit Oxford this weekend, we have rescheduled the Porsche Car show for Aug. 8,” Greene said today in an email.
“We continue to work hard to bring groups to Oxford and encourage them to shop local,” she said.
Last year’s 142 entries saw Porsches parked on High Street between Poplar and the edge of the west park.
