Olympic Gold gymnast Simone Biles coming to Butler County

Simone Biles, a member of the “Final Five” women’s gymnastics team at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, will be in Butler County next month as the guest speaker for a Boys & Girls Club fundraiser.

Biles, who won Gold in the 2016 Olympic individual all-around, vault and floor, will be the guest speaker Nov. 9 at the Boys & Girls Club of West Chester/Liberty’s fourth annual “Steak and Burger” fundraiser.

Biles is a Boys Club & Girls Club alumna.

The Steak and Burger event is the Boys Club & Girls Club’s largest fundraiser of the year, with all proceeds going toward club operations.

“Our ‘Club Kids’ will join adults at the event and eat steak, while the adults eat hamburger — a fun way to show our kids how much we appreciate them,” said Bridget Graber, CEO for the Boys Club & Girls Club of West Chester/Liberty.

Attendees will receive an update on the opening of the organization’s new building at 4845 Cincinnati-Dayton Road. The new $6.8 million facility is expected to open in the late fall.

The dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Savannah Center, 5533 Chappell Crossing Blvd. Cost is $125 per person.

Tickets must be purchased in advance of the event. To purchase tickets, visit www.bgcwcl.com or call 513-860-1923.
