COVINGTON, Ky. — A northern Kentucky prosecutor says a former county commissioner from Ohio is to appear in court Tuesday on charges of soliciting prostitution and drug trafficking.
Kenton County Attorney Garry Edmonson said in a statement that a lawyer for former Clermont County Commissioner Archie Wilson agreed to present his client in Kenton County District Court to be arraigned on the misdemeanor charges, The Kentucky Enquirer reported (http://bit.ly/wCZXLV ).
A warrant has been issued for Wilson's arrest, but Edmonson's office says if Wilson appears in court Tuesday, it won't be served.
The charges follow allegations made last June by 26-year-old Amanda Lay that the 60-year-old Wilson, of Batavia Township, provided money and drugs in exchange for sex.
Wilson resigned his commissioner seat Feb. 2, saying he was leaving "based on my physician's advice."
