MORRISTOWN, N.J. — Authorities in Morris County say they've caught a fugitive burglary suspect known as the "Office Creeper."
Gerald Broadwater was arrested Thursday morning in Newark by state police and members of the U.S. Marshals Service.
The 61-year-old Broadwater is charged with burglaries in Parsippany and Florham Park. He's also a fugitive with outstanding criminal charges in Georgia, North Carolina and Ohio.
He's suspected of committing burglaries in the Allentown, Pa., area as well as in other parts of Morris, Bergen, Somerset, Union and Middlesex counties in New Jersey.
Broadwater is a resident of Lithonia, Ga., about 20 miles east of Atlanta.
The burglar dubbed the "Office Creeper" got his nickname for his habit of quietly stealing laptops, money and other valuables from office buildings.
