Obie is a five-year-old 77-pound Dachshund whose elderly owners had to give him up because they were dealing with their own health issues.
The average weight for an adult Dachshund is around 35 pounds. Obie weighs over twice that amount.
The Oregon Dachshund Rescue took Obie in and is trying to get him the help he needs.
