Someone spray painted some words on the wall of a business sometime overnight in the 2000 Pleasant Ave.
A person was arrested after using the U-Scan device about 10:19 a.m. at the Kroger, 1474 Main St., to pay for a few items but placed a six-pack of beer into a bag without scanning the item. The person attempted to leave the store without paying for the beer but was stopped by employees.
Sometime overnight, an unknown person kicked in the front door of a residence in the 1300 block of Cleveland Avenue.
Prescription medication and $15 were taken before 11:57 a.m. from a purse in the 1800 block of Princeton Road.
Prescription medication was stolen out of a mailbox between 11:42 a.m. and 6 p.m. Jan. 17 from a residence in the 0 to 100 block of Twinbrook Drive.
A cell phone and prescription medication were stolen overnight from a residence in the 1900 block of Pleasant Avenue.
A cell phone was stolen from a teen sometime overnight in the 200 block of Oak Street.
Someone caused several dents on the top and side of a truck that was parked between Jan. 19 and Jan. 26 in the 100 block of Curtis Drive.
A pair of diamond earrings were stolen between 2 and 6 p.m. from a residence in the 400 block of South Washington Boulevard.
A man was robbed at knifepoint of an undetermined amount of cash about 7 p.m. at East and Edison avenues.
Jan. 27
A 16-year-old woman told police that she was offered drugs and alcohol between 10 and 11:45 p.m. Jan. 26 at an East Avenue residence. The woman left the suspect’s residence and called police because they had no way of getting back home to Batavia, Ohio.
A back door window was broken about 1:01 a.m. during a burglary of a residence in the 400 block of Sycamore Street. A pair of gym shoes and an Xbox 360 game system with two controllers, a headset, a power cable and two games were stolen from the residence.
Two windows measuring 16 feet by 5 feet were damaged about 1:30 a.m. during an attempted break-in at Georgia Direct Carpet, 2301 Dixie Highway. There was also one small hole found in a window at the business.
The passenger side window of a vehicle was damaged while it was parked overnight in the 1500 block of Main Street.
A person was arrested after he used a screwdriver to break out a passenger window to get into a truck that was parked between midnight and 4:19 a.m. in the 400 block of Cleveland Avenue. The suspect tore apart the dashboard and removed the victim’s stereo system and an iPod before fleeing the scene. Police located the suspect in an alley who was found tossing items from his coat that included the stolen items as well as a flashlight, screwdriver and gloves.
A cell phone was stolen about 11:35 a.m. from Hanover Street at East Avenue.
A handgun and holster were stolen sometime before Jan. 27 from a residence in the 900 block of Elizabeth Drive.
An in-dash compact disc/DVD player as well as some credit and debit cards were stolen between 9 p.m. Jan. 16 and 3 p.m. Jan. 27 after someone broke into a truck that was parked in the 300 block of Eaton Avenue.
A wallet containing a concealed carry permit, a library card, a driver’s license, a credit card and a debit card were stolen about 6:30 p.m. Jan. 22 from a person at Miami University Hamilton, 1601 University Blvd.
Speakers and an amplifier were stolen between 8 and 11 p.m. from a vehicle parked at South 12th Street and Hanover streets.
A woman said another woman was standing outside her apartment wanting to fight her about 5:30 p.m. in the 8oo block of Welliver Drive when she pulled up. The resident took her kids and went inside to call police.
A wallet containing a credit card and personal identification was stolen overnight from a vehicle parked in the 0 to 100 block of Dover Place.
An assault was reported about 6 p.m. in the 1800 block of Edison Avenue.
The front window was broken out during an overnight break-in of the International Restaurant Group, 1301 Main St.
A person who had been arrested about 10:40 p.m. on a criminal trespassing complaint in the 1400 block of Main Street and was being transported to Hamilton Police Headquarters, allegedly made threats against the arresting officer and were heard by another police officer.
A 32-inch television was stolen between 5 and 7 a.m. from a residence in the 500 block of Ross Avenue.
Jan. 28
A person was arrested for allegedly making false alarms between 2:10 and 2:30 a.m. in the 400 block of South Second Street.
