FAIRFIELD —

Police are on the lookout for a man who robbed a Speedway gas station today.

The man entered the Speedway at 4511 Pleasant Ave. at 4:39 a.m. today wielding a knife, police said. The man demanded the clerk give him all of the money from the register. He then fled the business with an unknown amount of cash, running northbound into Hamilton, Fairfield police officer Doug Day said.

Officers began a K9 track, but the suspect was not located. He is described as a tall, thin black man wearing all black clothing and a black baseball cap. He had something white covering most of his face, with white socks covering his hands.

The clerk was not injured in the robbery.
