Police reports: Thief attempts to steal jewelry and flowers

Nov. 1

A bag of eight DVDs were stolen from a front porch sometime overnight from a front porch in the 500 block of Prytania Avenue.

The front tire of a car was slashed while it was parked between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the 400 block of Millikin Street.

A Rumpke recycling trash can was stolen between Jan. 1 and March 1 from a residence in the 500 block of Mark Avenue. The report was made to police on Nov. 1.

A GPS device was stolen after 2:30 a.m. Nov. 1 from a unlocked vehicle parked in the 1000 block of Brough Avenue.

An Xbox Kinect game system and some prescription medication was stolen between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. from a residence in the 1100 block of Goodman Avenue.

Nov. 2

An unknown object was thrown at the front windshield and cracked the glass of a vehicle parked overnight in the 700 block of Hastings Avenue.

A 55-inch television and a 28-inch television, an Xbox 360 game system and a PlayStation 3 game system were stolen between 8:30 and 9 a.m. from a residence in the 0 to 100 block of Michael Avenue.

An air conditioning unit was stolen overnight from the McGee Law Office, 322 S. Front Street.

An upstairs bedroom air conditioner was stolen overnight from an apartment in the 2500 block of Pleasant Avenue.

A PlayStation Vita game system, four games, $50 and several other items were stolen after Oct. 22 from a residence in the 7600 block of Red Fox Run.

About $400 was taken out of a bank account that is owned by a resident in the 900 block of South 13th Street sometime before 4 p.m.

A wallet containing two credit cards and other personal identification and $300 was stolen between 8:20 and 8:40 p.m. from a residence in the 1100 block of Goodman Avenue.

A person was arrested about 8:51 p.m. after trying to conceal several pieces of jewelry, a flower pot and some flowers and leaving the Meijer store, 1560 Main St., without paying.

Some scrap aluminum, a chair and some shelving were stolen between 11:30 a.m. and noon from behind a residence in the 300 block of North D Street.

A GPS device, a firearm and a holster were stolen about 7 p.m. from a vehicle parked in the 1400 block of Main Street.

Nov. 3

A computer and a 42-inch flat screen television was stolen during a break-in of a residence between 4:45 and 11:32 p.m. in the 600 block of Carlisle Avenue.

Prescription drugs were stolen between Oct. 26 and Nov. 3 from a residence in the 300 block of Hancock Avenue.

An assault was reported about 2:10 a.m. at M&J’s Bar, 1555 Main St. after a woman said she was reportedly struck in the face by the bartender.

Someone punctured the tire of a vehicle that was parked overnight in the 400 block of Hampshire Drive.
