Nov. 5
Two cars parked overnight Nov. 2 in a driveway in the 3900 block of Hammond Boulevard were rummaged through and a GPS device and $20 in loose change were stolen from the vehicles.
A BB gun was used to shoot out the back window of a vehicle that was parked between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. at Washington and South Second streets.
Nov. 6
A rock was thrown through a kitchen window between 11 and 11:45 p.m. at a residence in the 600 block of Franklin Street.
A back window was damaged between 2:30 and 6 p.m. in the 300 block of Buckeye Street.
A debit card was stolen between Oct. 13 and Nov. 4 from a residence in the 200 block Oak Street and was used at several locations to make $580 in transactions.
A music box at a garage sale in the 800 block of Allen Avenue was stolen between 7:30 and 8 a.m. Nov. 3.
A vehicle was vandalized while it was parked overnight in the 500 block of Ridgelawn Avenue.
An iPhone was stolen about 1 p.m. from an office in the 1000 block of Cereal Avenue.
A person was arrested after trying to steal various personal toiletries and batteries about 5 p.m. from the Kroger store, 1450 S. Erie Highway.
An assault was reported about 5:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Corliss Avenue.
Nov. 7
About $100 was stolen from a purse about midnight from the 400 block of Harrison Avenue.
A window was pried open on a van that was parked overnight in the rear of the 900 block of Dayton Street. A DVD player, jack stands, 20 miscellaneous compact discs, a power inverter and two cell phone charges were stolen from the van.
A person came up to another person and held a knife to the victim’s throat and robbed that person of $100.
Someone stole a check between Nov. 5 and Nov. 6 from a residence in the 100 block of Westbrook Drive. The check was cashed for $80.
A resident in the 1100 block of Lane Street told police he was asleep on his couch in the living room overnight Nov. 2 and that someone entered his home through an unlocked front door and struck him in the forehead. The suspect stole $350 out of the victim’s pocket and fled in an unknown direction.
Prescription medication was stolen overnight Nov. 6 from a residence in the 1000 block of Foster Avenue.
After returning home, a resident in the 200 block of Gordon Avenue found that the rear/side door of her residence had been kicked in and the chain was broken off of the door jamb sometime between 1 and 4:09 p.m. The resident told police that about $2,500 in jewelry and a $350 jewelry box was stolen. A laptop computer was also stolen from her kitchen.
