Police reports: Prescriptions stolen

Dec. 12

Prescription medication was stolen between noon and 7 p.m. from a residence in the 500 block of Emerson Avenue.

Dec. 13

A truck was ransacked and a GPS device was stolen while it was parked overnight in a driveway Dec. 10 in the 0 to 100 block of Annie Lou Drive.

Prescription medication was stolen about 10 a.m. from a residence in the 800 block of Symmes Avenue.

A person was arrested for taking a computer valued at $898 without paying for it between noon and 12:30 p.m. from the Walmart, 1505 Main St.

A person was arrested about 12:21 p.m. after threatening to blow up a van that a homeless person lives in that was parked in the 400 block of Charles Street.

An assault was reported about 8:31 p.m. in the 200 block of Hanover Street.

Dec. 14

The driver’s side window and two driver’s side tires were damaged while a vehicle was parked overnight in the 700 block of Ross Avenue.

A resident in the 600 block of Pyramid Hill Boulevard told police that between Dec. 7 and Dec. 14 the same person has called his cell phone about 100 times.

A person was seen taking a box that had been delivered about 8:26 a.m. and left on the porch at a residence in the 600 block of Cleveland Avenue.

Aluminum, metal and copper were cut from an air conditioner sometime overnight in the 1700 block of Parrish Avenue.

A person used a fraudulent credit card for a purchase on Oct. 4 at the Midas, 1761 S. Erie Blvd. The police were notified on Dec. 14.

A person dropped off a prescription about 11:30 a.m. at the Walgreens, 562 Main St. Store personnel learned the prescription was forged and when the person came through the drive-through to pick up the prescription, they asked for some identification so they could make a copy of it. When the employee told the person that the script was a fake, the person took off in their vehicle.

An assault was reported about 6:14 p.m. in the 400 block of South Second Street.

A break-in was reported between 5:30 and 7:20 p.m. at Tangles Hair Salon, 1020 High St. The side door had been kicked in and about $10 was stolen.

A person attempted to use a counterfeit $5 bill to pay for merchandise about 10:45 p.m. at Minnick’s Drive Thru, 339 N. E St. When the clerk refused to accept it, the person fled on foot and left the fake $5 bill at the store.

A break-in was reported to have occurred between Dec. 4 and Dec. 12 at a property that was boarded up in the 0 to 100 block of North Seventh Street. Nothing was reported missing from the structure.

A 32-foot aluminum extension ladder with a blue frayed rope was stolen overnight from the backyard of a residence in the 300 block of North C Street. The owner told police the suspects loaded it up in a vehicle that they parked in the alley.

Three people reportedly assaulted a person between 9 and 10 a.m. while trying to restrain him in the 3100 block of Dixie Highway.

A person was arrested after he was seen trying items on between 9 and 9:30 p.m. The person put on a pair of gloves and a hat that had not been purchased and went to a register to pay for another item. The person walked out of the store without paying for the hat and gloves and was stopped by police. The person said he forgot to pay for the items and was arrested. The stolen property was recovered but cannot be resold.

Dec. 15

A person got out of a car and stole about $20 in laundry products about 7 p.m. at the Dollar General store, 3107 Dixie Highway.

An assault was reported between 1:30 and 1:45 a.m. in the 1100 block of South Erie Highway.
