Police reports: More than $250 in gift cards stolen

Dec. 14

A 24-year-old woman reported her boyfriend violated her protection order after sending harassing text messages.

Dec. 20

A 29-year-old woman said she was almost attacked by a man after she exited her vehicle parked inside the parking garage at 228 High Street. The woman said a man “rushed at her aggressively,” causing fear.

Dec. 21

More than $300 worth of property was stolen from a 35-year-old woman after her purse was taken from Hamilton High School, 1165 Eaton Ave. Inside the woman’s purse were more than $250 in gift cards, as well as medications.

A woman sustained cuts to her foot after a domestic violence altercation with somebody inside her home in the 700 block of Rockford Drive. The woman had to be treated at Fort Hamilton Hospital.

A Keurig coffee maker valued at $190 was stolen from Walmart, 1505 Main St.

A 39-year-old woman reported she was punched three times in the head by a suspect inside her apartment on South 12th Street.

An employee of Walmart, 1505 Main St., was able to detain a suspect that attempted to load up shopping carts and leave with $629 worth of unpaid merchandise. A second suspect fled on foot.

A book of lottery tickets, valued at $182, was taken by a shopper at Foodtown, 536 Heaton St.

A GPS unit and $30 cash was taken from a car parked in the 2800 block of Benninghofen Avenue.

Someone removed from a front porch in the 600 block of Ludlow Street various Barbie dolls, children’s pajamas and other toys. The items were later recovered in a yard a few houses away.

Dec. 22

A laptop computer, portable DVD player and numerous medications were stolen from the Harvey Court home of a 54-year-old man.

A Hamilton police officer reported seeing two suspects jump over a fence into the bus lot of Hamilton City Schools, 1316 Chestnut St., while they were fleeing from other officers.

A 62-year-old Fairfield man reported he dropped his wallet while at Meijer, 1560 Main St. A suspect later made $516 worth of fraudulent charges on his credit card.

A diamond wedding ring valued at $500 was stolen from the Timberhill Drive apartment of a 30-year-old woman.

Dec. 23

While shopping at Kroger, 1450 S. Erie Blvd., a 72-year-old woman said she forgot her purse inside a shopping cart and it was taken by the time she returned.

About $20 worth of fuel was stolen from Kroger, 1450 S. Erie Blvd., after a female shopper had insufficient funds on her credit card, and never returned to pay her balance.

An air conditioning unit was stolen off a rental property in the zero to 50 block of North Fifth Street.

A woman and man living in the 400 block of Sycamore Street reported they had a couple guests visit that eventually displayed handguns and stole an iPhone, iPad and $800 cash.
