Police reports: Halloween decorations stolen

Oct. 29

An assault was reported about 2:34 p.m. in the 1300 block of Grand Boulevard.

Someone entered a van that was parked overnight Oct. 26 in the driveway of a residence in the 2800 block of Freeman Avenue.

Some photographs and personal identification were stolen from a truck that was parked overnight Oct. 26 in the 1200 block of Edison Avenue.

A number of Halloween ornaments, such as tombstones, skeletons and signs, were stolen overnight Oct. 26 from the front yard of a residence in the 1000 block of Corwin Avenue.

A person was arrested about 6:24 p.m. at the Meijer store, 1560 Main St., after placing items into a grocery cart without scanning them. The total amount of the items stolen was reported at $271.

The driver side window of a pickup truck was broken while it was parked overnight in the 1100 block of Sipple Avenue. The truck’s dashboard was vandalized and a stereo was stolen along with a camouflage pouch and backpack.

The back passenger side window of a van was broken out sometime overnight while it was parked in the 1100 block fo Harmon Avenue. Two banjos were stolen out of the van’s cargo area and a bicycle was stolen from the yard of the residence.

A break-in was reported between Oct. 27 and Oct. 29 at Mr. Money Savers, 1990 S. Erie Blvd. The wood was kicked out of the window to enter the business and the drawers behind the counter were ransacked. The thieves went out a back door and left it standing open.

A car window was broken and a GPS device and some cologne were stolen while it was parked overnight in the 1600 block of Edison Avenue.

A purse containing $10, prescription medication and personal identification was stolen between 5:30 and 8:30 a.m. from a car parked in the 1200 block of Vine Street.

After having some words about some political signs between 10 and 11 a.m. near the intersection of St. Clair Avenue and River Road, the suspect threatened to shoot the victim, who was in fear for his safety.

Someone cut the rear tires of a vehicle that was parked between Oct. 28 and Oct. 29 in the 200 block of South B Street.

The front door of a residence in the 0 to 100 block of Hampshire Court was kicked in during a burglary between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. A television, sunglasses and some jewelry were stolen.

An iPod was stolen about 5 p.m. Oct. 24 in the 2200 block of N.W. Washington Boulevard.

An assault was reported in the 500 block of Millikin Street.

Oct. 30

A window, paint and two tires were damaged on a car that was parked between Oct. 29 and Oct. 30 in the 200 block of South B Street.

A burglary was reported between 6 p.m. Oct. 29 and 12:25 a.m. Oct. 30 in the 1900 block of Grand Boulevard. A PlayStation game system, five games and a tablet were stolen.

A vehicle was found to have been dented, scratched and with a broken mirror about 4 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Frisch’s restaurant, 2949 Dixie Highway.

A burglary was reported to have occurred between 8 a.m. and 3:42 p.m. in the 3200 block of Pleasant Avenue. A muzzle loader rifle, a 12 gauge shotgun, a 30-06 rifle and five handguns were reported stolen from the residence.

A vehicle was stolen after the driver left it running with the doors unlocked in an alley behind his home between 4:45 and 5:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of Maple Avenue.

A car window was broken out between 9:30 and 10:35 p.m. Oct. 29 while it was parked in the 1500 block of Main Street. A bookbag with clothing and a purse containing a credit card, $200 and personal identification were stolen from the vehicle.

An assault was reported about 6:30 a.m. in the 700 block of South Front Street.

A pry bar, an ax and a hammer were used to open a steel door during an overnight break-in at the 12th Street Market, 761 S. 12th St. An air conditioner was dented and a wood slat in a fence was broken. In addition, a handgun, a flatscreen television, $100, and various amounts of cigarellos and cigarettes were stolen. The damage to the door and stolen property was estimated at just more than $2,500.

All four tires on a vehicle were slashed and the rear window and front windshield were broken while it was parked overnight in the 600 block of Eaton Avenue.

Prescription medications were stolen between 9 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Oct. 28 in the 0 to 100 block of South Monument Avenue.

All four tires were slashed on a vehicle that was parked overnight in the 1300 block of Goodman Avenue.

About 50 music compact discs were stolen from a van after the passenger side window was broken while it was parked overnight in the 500 block of South Fourth Street.

A central air conditioning unit, valued at $2,500, was stolen overnight from the rear of a residence in the 1700 block of Parkamo Avenue.

During an argument, a person picked up a knife and threatened to stab a woman between 10 and 10:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Cadillac Drive.

A cell phone was stolen about 10:50 p.m. during a burglary in the 800 block of Front Street.

A laptop computer was stolen on Oct. 27 following a fight in the 100 block of Franklin Street. The victim heard from another person that the person who took the laptop computer had sold it.

A headlight assembly unit was stolen from a van that was parked between 8 and 9 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 1500 block of Main Street. The report was filed with police Oct. 30.

A person was seen using an erasable marker to draw a red cross on a Cadillac Escalade between 12:30 and 1 p.m. near Maple Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Someone used a tool to get in a back door of a residence between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the 800 block of Symmes Avenue. Some medication and 22 needles were reported stolen.

A number of towels, body soap, shaving gel, lotion, wash cloths, tooth brushes, toothpaste, razors, cups, shampoo, deodorant and footies were stolen before 3:30 p.m. from Forth Hamilton Hospital, 630 Eaton Ave.

Some personal papers were stolen between 2 and 6 p.m. during a burglary of a residence in the 700 block of Symmes Road.

A food stamp card was stolen before 9 a.m. from a residence in the 800 block of Symmes Avenue.

Various personal hygiene items were stolen by concealing the items in a purse and not paying for them between 8 and 8:30 p.m. at the Dollar General store, 3107 Dixie Highway.

Someone broke into a locked vehicle to steal a purse containing a three stone ring valued at $6,000, about $200, and personal identification between 3:45 and 10:45 p.m. at the Frisch’s parking lot, 1255 Main St.

A person who rented a 50-inch television from Colortyme, 1486 S. Erie Blvd. between Oct. 9 and Oct. 29 reportedly pawned it at Cashland.

A person told police that he was robbed of his wallet that contained $100, personal identification, a debit card and his bicycle between 1 and 1:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Emery Avenue.

A woman reported the theft of an iPod, a laptop computer and a lady’s fashion ring and another ring from people who rented the property but never made any payments on them to UHR Rents, 2360 Dixie Highway. The thefts were on different dates but was reported to police on Oct. 30.

Nearly $8,100 in jewelry and other items such as a Kindle, a laptop computer, a purse, and $100 cash were stolen between 7:30 and 11:55 a.m. from a residence in the 800 block of Hoadley Avenue.

Various pieces of jewelry and clothing were stolen during a burglary in the 0 to 100 block of South Riverview Drive.

An assault was reported about 1:30 p.m. in the 500 block of South Ninth Street.

A door was damaged overnight in the 1200 block of Dayton Street.

Prescription medication was stolen between 7:30 and 11:55 a.m. from a residence in the 800 block of Hoadley Avenue.

Oct. 31

A car was stolen about 1:47 p.m. near Dayton and 10th streets.

Two buildings were spray painted overnight in the 200 block of Campbell Drive and in the 1900 block of Fairgrove Avenue.

The passenger window of a car was broken and a purse and wallet were stolen while it was parked overnight in the 300 block of Hastings Avenue. The wallet and purse were later recovered.

The passenger side window was broken on a locked vehicle and a backpack with miscellaneous paperwork and some clothing were stolen overnight while it was parked in the 1400 block of Maple Avenue. The property was found as it was spread out on both sides of the street.
