Jan. 31

A multi-tool was thrown through the window of a residence sometime before 1 p.m. in the 1100 block of Hanover Street.

A person was found unresponsive with a syringe in a restroom stall between 8:45 and 9:07 p.m. in the 400 block of S. Second St. The person was taken by city paramedics to Fort Hamilton Hospital for treatment.

Feb. 1

A person who was living in Florida from 1997 to 2004 told police that someone stole his identity to put the utilities in his name on Oct. 4, 1999 at a residence in the 900 block of Greenwood Avenue and did not pay a bill for $259.16.

A resident in the 500 block of Ludlow Street told police someone had used his information to file a tax return after he tried to file his income tax.

A break-in was reported to have occurred between Jan. 19 and Feb. 1 at the rear garage in the 300 block of Corwin Avenue. A table saw, a sawzall, and various other power tools were stolen from the garage. The value of the stolen tools was reported at $450.

A lawn mower, a gas grill still in the box and three socket sets were stolen during a break-in between 10 a.m. and noon from a locked garage in the 1300 block of South 13th Street. The value of the stolen items was listed at more than $300.

A man allegedly filled a cart with two 12-piece nonstick cookware sets, two 5.5-quart pans and four boxes of disposable diapers and attempted to leave the Kroger store, 1450 S. Erie Blvd. without paying between 2:20 and 2:30 p.m. When confronted by an employee, the man fled on foot from the store.

An assault was reported between 11 and 11:59 p.m. in the 900 block of Maple Avenue. The victim reported the assault to police on Feb. 1.

Nothing was stolen following a break-in that occurred between Jan. 18 and Feb. 1 after someone kicked in the rear door at Innotion Enterprises Inc., 305 Millville Ave.

A six-month-old pit bull puppy was stolen between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. from a back yard in the 1100 block of Vine Street.

An Xbox game system and numerous games, valued at $800, was stolen between 8:50 and 9:10 p.m. from a residence in the 100 block of Starr Avenue.

Between Jan. 24 and Feb. 1, various tools and equipment were stolen from a garage and residence in the 1300 block of Goodman Avenue. Two tool chests, miscellaneous tools, an air compressor, two floor jacks, a welder, a plasma cutter, three power saws and four jack stands were stolen.

A purse containing personal identification and $120 was stolen about 10 p.m. from the 400 block of North Fourth Street.

A woman was reportedly assaulted about 11 p.m. in the parking lot of Buster’s Bar, 3463 Tylersville Road. During a fight between two people at the same time and place, the passenger side mirror was broken off of a vehicle.

Feb. 2

An assault was reported about 12:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of Foster Avenue.

A purse was stolen between 12:30 and 12:50 p.m. from a vehicle parked in the 2700 block of Noble Avenue. The purse contained various personal items, prescription sunglasses, credit cards, a driver’s license and $2.

A person was arrested for trying to steal about $7 of make-up about 1:24 p.m. from the Family Dollar, 2526 Dixie Highway. When the suspect tried to leave without paying, an employee stopped her. While talking to the suspect, the employee was punched and knocked to the ground. The suspect also kicked the employee several times before being pulled off the employee by a witness.

Someone stole a prepaid credit card between Jan. 12 and Feb. 1 from a residence in the 700 block of East Avenue and made various charges on the card totalling $280.
