Dec. 5
An assault was reported about 12:09 p.m. in the 3900 block of Pleasant Avenue.
More than $500 was stolen between Nov. 11 and Nov. 16 from a cash register at Rural King, 1416 Main St.
Prescription medication and a cell phone were stolen after 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4 from a residence in the 1100 block of Dale Road.
A laptop computer valued at $600 was stolen between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. from a residence in the 600 block of Millikin Street.
About 15 bicycles, a stove, a refrigerator, a mini-refrigerator and two grills were stolen overnight from a residence in the 300 block of North 11th Street.
Between Oct. 1 and Dec. 5, someone used the personal information of a resident in the 400 block of South C Street to open up a Verizon Wireless account at an address in the 900 block of Shuler Avenue.
A resident in the 1300 block of Vanderveer Avenue told police about 11 a.m. Dec. 4 someone plugged in an extension cord to an outside outlet on her home to supply electricity to the next door residence. Police gave the next door residents a warning on the incident. However, about 7 p.m. Dec. 5, police were called again after the extension cord had been plugged in again.
Some people who were allowed to stay at a residence in the 0 to 100 block of Hurm Street decided to leave between 8:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and they allegedly took their belongings as well as a television, an Xbox game system and a food stamp card that belonged to their host.
An assault was reported about 8:40 p.m. in the 200 block of East Avenue.
A cell phone was stolen out of purse about 11:48 a.m. in the 1100 block of Eaton Avenue.
An assault was reported about 8:21 a.m. in the 800 block of North B Street.
Three vehicles each had the two passenger tires slashed while they were parked overnight in the 600 block of North D Street.
As a woman was fixing her bike about 12:30 p.m. Nov. 30, someone ran up and grabbed her purse from next to her and took off running and got into a vehicle. The purse contained personal identification and documents, an ATM card, and $678.
Between midnight and 1 a.m. Dec. 3, a patron at the Grub Pub, 47 Hancock Ave. told police that she gave her purse to another woman to watch while she went to the restroom. When she returned the purse was missing and no one in the group knew what happened to it. The purse contained some prescription medication, personal documents and identification, three gift cards and $130.
A credit card was stolen Dec. 1 from a mailbox in the 700 block of Ludlow Street. The card had been activated and someone made several transactions totalling $1,053.
A ladder was stolen between Dec. 2 and Dec. 5 from a residence in the 1300 block of Goodman Avenue.
About $690 was stolen between Nov. 30 and Dec. 5 from a storage area at Partners in Prime, 140 Ross Ave.
About $20 was stolen after the drivers side window of a vehicle was broken while it was parked overnight in the 500 block of Southwood Drive.
Dec. 6
Prescription medication was stolen during a residential burglary reported at 1:25 a.m. in the 0 to 100 block of Victory Drive.
A break-in of a garage was reported about 3:30 a.m. in the 800 block of Corwin Avenue. The garage’s side door was forced open and the alarm went off. Another garage was broken-in to in the same block sometime overnight. Four nailers, a cordless drill and various hand tools were stolen. The stolen property was valued at more than $2,300.
A window was broken on a vehicle sometime before 7 a.m. in the 1500 block of Winslow Drive. A duffle bag containing a hunting blind was stolen.
A window was broken on a vehicle that was parked overnight in the 3200 block of Van Hook Avenue. A bookbag containing $300 of school books, about 30 compact discs and a wallet containing personal identification and a credit card were reported stolen from the vehicle.
A Wii game system, a Nintendo DS game system and a 19-inch flat screen television were stolen during an overnight burglary of a residence in the 100 block of North F Street. The resident was asleep upstairs during the burglary.
While shopping about 6:30 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Kroger store, 1474 Main St., a woman noticed that her purse had been stolen. The purse contained $55. The report was filed Dec. 6 with police.
More than $2,000 in various pieces of jewelry were stolen between July 4 and July 8 from a residence in the 2600 block of Benninghofen Avenue. The theft report was filed with police Dec. 6.
Between Dec. 4 and Dec. 5, a resident in the 0 to 100 block of Marlou Drive contacted an online lending service to attempt to secure a loan. On Dec. 5, the resident was told the loan had been approved and that she would have to send an application fee of $120 and another $150 for taxes. Once that was done, the resident was told she could expect the money in her account in about an hour. The resident checked several times but the funds were never deposited. She attempted to call the lending service but the number was continually busy and remained busy the following day.
A bad check was passed Nov. 8 for a $450 rent payment to Sunset Properties, 359 Hampshire Drive. The person who wrote the check put a “stop payment” on the check so that it could not be cashed.
A women reported being robbed in a parking lot about 12:35 p.m. in the 1500 block of Main Street.
Prescription medication was stolen between 1 and 4 p.m. from a residence in the 100 block of Park Avenue.
Several pieces of jewelry valued at $230 and a Carson Palmer Bengals jersey were stolen between Nov. 27 and Dec. 6 from a residence in the 1100 block of Vine Street.
The back window of a vehicle was broken while it was parked overnight in the 700 block of Chase Avenue.
A person stole a wallet from a bed about 6:55 p.m. from a residence in the 800 block of Central Avenue. The wallet contained $12, person identification, a food stamp card and a vehicle key.
Dec. 7
A woman reported being assaulted by some people who also robbed her of her cell phone about 12:15 a.m. near Bridgeport and Winslow drives.
A GPS device and a pair of sunglasses in a white bag were stolen between 12:30 and 1:15 a.m. from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the 7500 block of Wildbranch Road. The victim did not want to press charges and the property was returned to him.
Someone stole a woman’s car keys and then stole her car between 11 p.m. Dec. 6 and 2:30 a.m. Dec. 7 from the 0 to 100 block of Petty Drive.
