Police report: Clothes stolen from charity collection bins

Oct. 17

A break-in of a garage at Knollwood Crossings, 5 Fallwood Drive, was reported to have occurred between Aug. 1 and Oct. 15. Two snow blowers, valued at $1,400, were stolen from the garage.

Someone used a BB gun to shoot out the rear passenger window of a Jeep while it was parked between 8 and 9:15 p.m. in the 200 block of Rockford Drive.

A minivan’s front windshield was smashed out about 5:30 a.m. Oct. 15 while it was parked in the 300 block of Washington Street.

Oct. 18

An extension ladder was stolen from a yard sometime between Oct. 8 and Oct. 15 in the 200 block of Twinbrook Drive.

Oct. 20

An assault was reported about4:20 p.m. near South Fourth and Sycamore streets after the victim refused to give the suspect a cigarette.

An assault was reported about 10:15 p.m. in the 500 block of Heaton Street.

A woman reported being thrown to the ground and robbed of her cell phone about 9:45 p.m. in the 1400 block of Main Street.

Oct. 21

An assault was reported between 2:30 and 3 p.m. in the 1100 block of North B Street.

Someone cut the attached chain and stole a leaf blower overnight in the 1600 block of Singer Avenue.

Locks were cut off of two Salvation Army clothing bins to steal the clothing inside them sometime between 5 and 6:19 p.m. in the 1400 block of South Erie Boulevard. A Salvation Army representative also reported that the thief replaced the cut locks with their own.

An assault was reported about 9 p.m. in the 1100 block of N.W. Washington Boulevard after the suspect spat on the victim.

Oct. 22

An assault was reported during an altercation about 10:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Hanover Street.

Bodily force was used to break a car window in order to steal the radio while the car was parked between midnight and 12:15 a.m. at Fiehrer Motors, 2535 Dixie Highway.
