Police blotter: Toilet reported stolen

Oct. 1

A cell phone was stolen about 2 p.m. in the 100 block of North Brookwood Way.

A person was arrested after telling police a television was stolen but was found to be in possession of the item between 12:50 and 1:10 p.m. in the 200 block of Starr Avenue.

An interior air conditioning unit, copper, plumbing, light fixtures and the interior of the furnace was stolen between July 22, 2011 and Dec. 15, 2011 from a house in the 1000 block of Chase Avenue. The police report was made Oct. 1.

A report of a crime victim being intimidated was made between August and Sept. 30 in the area of Fair and Maple avenues.

An assault was reported about 8:45 p.m. in the 0 to 100 block of North Erie Highway.

Oct. 2

A bicycle was stolen from a fenced-in backyard sometime overnight Sept. 28 in the 800 block of Campbell Avenue.

A central air conditioning unit and a range, valued at $4,100, was stolen sometime after June 6, from the 1700 block of N.W. Washington Boulevard. The police report was made Oct. 2.

Someone stole two sets of golf clubs, a floor jack, a baby car seat/tall booster and a bag of miscellaneous tools during an overnight break-in of a vehicle parked in the 0 to 100 block of Huntington Court.

A toilet and a two water cooler bottle filling stations were stolen between Sept. 7 and Sept. 10 from Progressive Plumbing Co., 531 Hanover Street.

A rear license plate was stolen from a vehicle that was parked overnight in the 700 block of Fairview Avenue.

A debit card was stolen from a purse between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. from a residence in the 150 block of South B Street.

A person in the 300 block of North Sixth Street reported another person used her identity to purchase an animal.

Someone stole a black tactical bag and some books from a vehicle that was parked overnight in the 200 block of North C Street.

Some people attempted to steal some nails, valued at $2.50, about 7 p.m. from the Dollar General store, 950 Main St. The suspects were stopped by an employee and then fled the scene before police arrived. another person about the same time attempted to steal a 50-ounce bottle of laundry detergent without paying but was stopped by an employee.

About $165 was stolen from a purse that was in an office between 4 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Erie Highway.

Two city-owned parking meters were pushed over before 6:40 p.m. in the 400 block of Dayton Street. The meters were not damaged.

A benefits card was stolen about 12:04 a.m. Oct. 1 from a residence in the 0 to 100 block of Bryant Lane. The thief then withdrew $500 through the card.

An assault was reported about 6:50 p.m. in the 0 to 100 block of Beth Lane.

Two break-ins were reported at the Iron Pigs Motorcycle Club, 924 High St. The first break-in occurred sometime overnight as a side window was broken to enter the club to steal an undetermined amount of cash, an electronic monitor, about $600 worth of liquor, about $75 worth of beer, as well as damaging a $3,000 jukebox and a $1,500 bar top game. The second break-in occurred between 10:25 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. when a front window was broken in which a safe was pried open and a pool table vending/change mechanism were vandalized and more liquor and an undetermined amount of cash were stolen.

A car was vandalized about 3:30 p.m. while it was parked in the 600 block of Eaton Avenue.

While picking up her son at school, someone threw an object at her van striking the passenger-side window about 3:35 p.m. in the area of Hoadley and Vanhook avenues.

The rear side window of a work van owned by UTS was smashed between 1:30 and 2 p.m. while it was parked in the 2100 block of Sunset Drive.

Wheels and tires to a Cadillac from an outside storage shed as well as a blue plastic container with unknown electronics, a lock box containing $500 and a passport, a jewelry box with multiple rings and ear rings, an iPod, an Android tablet, a 32-inch television, and laptop computer were stolen from home during a burglary that occurred between Sept. 28 and Oct. 2 in the 0 to 100 block of Convair Drive.

An overhead door of a detached garage was pried open between Sept. 30 and Oct. 2 in the 1600 block of Kahn Avenue in which an air compressor with two nail guns combo kit, a framing gun, a circular saw and a hammer drill were stolen.

A person reportedly stole 16 bottles of Tide laundry detergent, valued at nearly $280, about 8:30 a.m. from the Kroger store, 1450 S. Erie Blvd.

A credit card, a Social Security card and an Ohio driver license were stolen from a purse between Sept. 28 and Oct. 1 from a residence in the 1300 block of Taft Place.

Oct. 3

About 20 compact discs and $3 were stolen during an overnight break-in of a vehicle parked in the 1100 block of Cadillac Drive.

An assault was reported about 1:40 p.m. in the 600 block of Pyramid Hill Drive.

Two assaults were reported about 1:40 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Erie Boulevard.

Two types of prescription medication and $500 were stolen from a residence in the 1100 block of Parrish Avenue.

Silver certificates, valued at $2,500, and miscellaneous baseball items were stolen between 4 and 5 p.m. from the 200 block of North D Street.

A camera and $10 were stolen from purse during a dance Sept. 29 at Hamilton High School, 1165 Eaton Ave.

A glove box of a vehicle was ransacked while it was parked between 5 p.m. Oct. 2 and 5 p.m. Oct. 3 in the 1200 block of Shuler Avenue.

A wallet containing credit cards and personal identification, $10, a black bag, a checkbook and an Army knife were stolen between 7:30 and 8 p.m. from a truck that was parked in the 1000 block of Cleveland Avenue.

A dirt bike was reported stolen between 9:10 and 9:20 p.m. from the 100 block of Ross Avenue.

A garage was broken in to before 11:34 a.m. in the 1800 block of Grand Boulevard. A window was broken to gain entry into the garage and an aluminum ladder, some hand tools, an air compressor, a paint sprayer, a weed cutter and other spray machinery were stolen. The estimated value of the stolen items was reported at nearly $2,600.

A woman in the 1600 block of Dixie Highway told police that she woke up between 2 and 3 a.m. to something covering her face and suspects holding down her arms and injecting her with an unknown substance. She said the subjects also stole $200 from her during the aggravated burglary.

A vehicle containing miscellaneous tools was stolen overnight from the 800 block of Greenwood Avenue.

The rear window to a van was broken out and a hammer and a quick-cut saw were stolen while the van was parked overnight in the 1200 block of Lane Street.

An “Open” neon sign, valued at $300, was stolen overnight when a small window was broken at Hamilton Tire, 2204 Dixie Highway.

A person reported having an acute drug reaction to heroin about 6:11 p.m. in the 200 block of South B Street.

Oct. 4

A juvenile was arrested after being seen taking the tags off of a skateboard and tried to walk out without paying for it about 11:50 a.m. from the Walmart, 1505 Main St. A second juvenile was arrested for trying to steal a skateboard and a pair of red shorts.

An assault was reported about 10 p.m. in the 200 block of Millikin Street.

An assault was reported between 3 and 3:30 p.m. in the 200 block of North 11th Street.

A juvenile was arrested for attempting to steal an airsoft gun by concealing it in his pants and tried to walk out without paying for it about 4:30 p.m. at the Walmart store, 1505 Main St. A second juvenile was also arrested trying to do the same thing.

A vehicle with fishing poles and a video camera in the trunk was stolen between Sept. 28 and Oct. 2 from the 1400 block of South Erie Highway.

An overnight burglary was reported in the 200 block of Webster Avenue after someone entered the residence through a kitchen window to steal two large fish tanks and a 42-inch television.

A cell phone was stolen about noon from the the 1700 block of South Erie Boulevard.

Someone tossed a rock that resulted in the breaking the driver’s side mirror, scratching the paint and denting a car that was parked overnight in the 1200 block of Oakmont Avenue.
