Police blotter: Credit card bill shocks resident

A set of speakers, valued at $1,000, was stolen after a window of a vehicle was broken overnight in the 600 block of St. Clair Avenue.

A person was observed stealing a mountain bike about 10:35 a.m. from the 1100 block of Eaton Avenue.

Three screens were stolen overnight from the 0 to 1oo block of Hurm Street.

A resident in the 1000 block of St. Clair Avenue told police that he received a bill from a credit card company on Oct. 8 and learned that someone used his personal information to open an account without his permission.

Prescription medication was stolen between 4:30 and 10:30 a.m. Oct. 10 from a resident in the 1100 block of Shuler Avenue.

Someone used banking information to make $84 in unauthorized transactions between Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 from an account of a resident in the 506 block of Sanders.

A woman was assaulted between 5 and 6 a.m. in the area of Main Street and Brookwood Way as she was being robbed of her purse.

A woman was arrested for attempting to steal $180 in groceries about 5:24 p.m. from the Walmart store, 1505 Main St.

An Xbox game system, three cell phones and a gold necklace were stolen between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. when someone broke a kitchen window to burglarize a residence in the 600 block Sycamore Street.

An attempted burglary was reported about 2:35 p.m. in the 900 block of Hoadley Avenue.

A person was stabbed in the right buttocks about 8:46 p.m. in the 0 to 100 block of North Erie Highway. The suspect then took the switchblade knife and attempted to dispose of it by throwing the knife across the street.

A person sitting in his car about 11:04 p.m. in the 800 block of Heaton Street told police that an unknown person punched him in the face.
