Police blotter: Charity box stolen

Someone climbed on top of a garage overnight in the 1200 block of Shuler Avenue and loosened the security light bulb before prying open the wooden locking mechanism of the shed door and breaking out the rear window of a van. Four pairs of aluminum stilts, a cordless drill, a mud box, about 10 mud knives, a mud pump, a sander were stolen in the break-in

A charity box with cash was stolen between 5 and 5:15 p.m. Oct. 5 from the Garcia Market, 664 East Ave.

A report of ethnic intimidation was made between 10 a.m. Oct. 5 and 9 a.m. Oct. 6 in the 1100 block of Eaton Avenue. A person was texted a threat of being shot at her school or home.

A resident in the 700 block of Gordon Smith Boulevard told police a person took his 72-inch television, television stand and couch and chair and placed it in a storage facility in Fairfield between Sept. 26 and Oct. 6 and that the person refuses to return his property. The property was valued at more than $$5,900.

A person entered a car that was parked between 7:15 p.m. Oct. 4 and 11:30 a.m. Oct. 6 in the 100 block of Carlton Drive and stole $3, a knife, a radio cable and a phone charger.

A set of speakers and an amplifier were stolen from a vehicle that was parked between 1:15 p.m. Oct. 4 and 7 a.m. Oct. 5 in the 800 block of Francis Street.

A truck was stolen between 9 p.m. Oct. 5 and 12:30 a.m. Oct. 6 from the 900 block of Corwin Avenue. The truck was recovered about 7:12 a.m. Oct. 6 in Fairfield.

Pellets were believed to have been used to shoot at the driver side door of a vehicle sometime overnight in the 1300 block of St. Clair Avenue.

A purse containing a wallet, cash, prescription medication and a digital camera were stolen about 4 p.m. from the trunk of a vehicle parked at the Kroger store, 1450 S. Erie Blvd.
