Police blotter: Auto parts stolen from store

Oct. 5

A Springfield man told police someone used his debit card to purchase six $100 gift cards and another transaction for $101.48 sometime between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Walmart store, 1505 Main St.

Windows on two vehicles were broken out and dashboards were damaged during the theft of two stereo systems between 11:15 and 11:45 p.m. Oct. 4 at Discover Motors, 790 S. Erie Boulevard.

A person reportedly strung out on drugs wanted to use the phone at a residence about 2:35 p.m. in the 300 block of Lockwood Avenue. When the resident told the suspect to leave, the suspect then broke a window using the palm of her had to break it.

An assault was reported between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m. in the 200 block of North Fair Avenue.

A vehicle was taken without permission about 2 p.m. in the 0 to 100 block of Marlou Drive. The person was asked to return the vehicle and it was later learned that person also used a child support benefits card that was in the vehicle and made $80 in purchases.

A person stole four items from O’Reily’s Auto Parts, 2650 Dixie Highway between 7:30 and 8 p.m. Another person returned two of the items back to the store.

A screen door was damaged about 7:15 p.m. in the 700 block of Cereal Avenue.

Oct. 6

A report of indecent exposure was reported about 3 p.m. Sept. 30 in the 200 block of Progress Avenue.

A person was arrested about 1 a.m. after a police officer saw a person running from Tom’s Cigar Store, 135 Main St. as an alarm was sounding. The person was arrested on South C Street and was carrying four packs of cigarettes and eight Ohio Lottery ticket books.

Various tools, a radio, a bag containing three baseball bats and two gloves, personal identification and two bank cards were stolen from a vehicle that was parked overnight in the 100 block of Carlton Drive.
