Police blotter: 2 men try to steal airsoft gun

Oct. 4

Two juveniles were detained at 11:50 a.m. at the Walmart store, 1505 Main St. while each of them were trying to steal a skateboard. In addition to trying to steal a skateboard, one of them also attempted to steal a pair of shorts. Both juveniles were arrested by police

An assault was reported at 10 p.m. in the 200 block of Main Street.

Two males attempted to conceal an airsoft gun in their pants while attempting to steal them between 4:30 and 5 p.m. from the Walmart store, 1505 Main St. Both were arrested by police.

A door and lock to a car were damaged in an attempt to steal items while it was parked between 5 and 6:30 a.m. at apartment complex in the 2100 block of Princeton Road.

A grocery cart along with six bottles of Tide detergent, four 12-packs of toilet paper and a 30-pack of toilet paper were stolen about 9:32 a.m. Oct. 3 from the Kroger store, 1450 S. Erie Blvd.

A compact disc player was stolen from an unlocked truck that was parked overnight Oct. 3 from the 1600 block of Singer Avenue.

Oct. 5

A bicycle was stolen between 10 a.m. and noon from the back porch of a residence in the 1200 block of Resevoir Street.

Prescription medication was stolen between 3:30 and 4 a.m. from a residence in 500 block of Ross Avenue.

A person was arrested cutting through yards after a vehicle alarm went off about 5:20 a.m. in the 0 to 100 block of York Street. The suspect reportedly had two compact discs and a miscellaneous amount of change on his person that was believed to have been stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked a York Street.

Various prescription medications were stolen as a result of a vehicle break-in between 11 p.m. Oct. 2 and 4 a.m. Oct. 3 in the 1600 block of Singer Avenue.

A leaf blower and a printer were stolen during an overnight break-in of an unattached shed in the 200 block of Walnut Street.

Oct. 6

A passenger window to an SUV was broken while the vehicle was parked about 9 p.m. in the 800 block of Mark Avenue.
