SOUTHWEST OHIO —

Scattered power outages likely attributed to the heavy snowfall deposited by the Tuesday night-Wednesday morning storm were restored by early Thursday morning.

More than 2,500 Dayton Power & Light customers were without power at some point since the time the storm hit the region, said DP&L spokesman Tom Tatham.

Thursday morning around 1:30 a.m. the remaining power outages across the region had been restored.

Earlier Tuesday, Tatham said, “We had a little bit of wind combined with the wet, heavy snow. In this weather, it’s tough for our crews to move from location to location.”

Throughout Tuesday night and Wednesday, power failures were reported in Greene, Montgomery, Preble, Warren and Clinton counties. Blown fuses, downed wires and some wind damage have been the main problems, Tatham said.

There also were no outages to report from Ohio Edison or Duke Energy as of 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
