A woman robbed a Deerfield Twp. Waffle House Monday morning by posing as a company auditor, Warren County Sheriff’s Office said.

The woman entered the Waffle House at 9725 Mason Montgomery Road around 2:45 a.m. Monday and told employees she was an “auditor” for the restaurant and began to inspect the premises, said Sgt. BD Lacy of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

She stayed in the restaurant for approximately 45 minutes when she asked an employee to print out the evening sales receipts and open the cash register. While the employee was distracted, the suspect took the money from the cash register and fled the store, Lacy said.

The suspect is described as white with dark hair who was wearing gray pants, a red shirt and black Adidas flip flops.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact Detective Jerry Niffenegger at the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at (513) 701-1807 or Crimestoppers at (513) 352-3040.
