The source of a mysterious odor reported in several Tri-State communities this past weekend remains a mystery.
Many people reported the odor to officials on Sunday evening. The gas-like or sewage odor could be smelled in Deer Park, Amberley Village, Sycamore Township and Roselawn.
Duke Energy took about 200 calls on the smell, but investigating crews have not found the source.
Sally Thelen from Duke Energy says the smell may have come from someone transporting cargo that leaked the odor into the air.
