David Cameron is not only the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, he is the Lord of the Treasury, leader of the Conservative Party and at 45 the youngest British prime minister since the Earl of Liverpool held the job nearly 200 years ago.

On Tuesday, Cameron can add March Madness fan to his resume, after he joins President Barack Obama at one of the First Four games held at the University of Dayton Arena.

“The President wanted to share the American tradition of March Madness with Prime Minister Cameron and the two leaders look forward to a great game,” said Adam W. Abrams, White House spokesman.

“This official visit, the visit to Dayton and the State Dinner at the White House on Wednesday evening underscore the special relationship that the United States and the United Kingdom share.”

Cameron will be the first foreign leader to travel aboard Air Force One with Obama.

The two will likely have a lot to talk about. Britain is an important foreign policy ally and the two are expected to discuss the drawdown of troops in Afghanistan, trouble in the Middle East, Iran, and upcoming NATO and G-8 summits.

The visit comes just days after a Briton and Italian were killed in Nigeria as British special forces and Nigerian troops attempted to rescue them from suspected terrorists.

In office since May 2010, Cameron has been drawn into the British phone hacking and police bribery scandal, grappled with Britain’s deficit and the European financial crisis, and faced independence calls from Scotland and friction with Argentina over the Falkland Islands.

He may find the American press a relief from the hurly burly of British tabloids, which most recently hammered him for riding a police horse that was lent by the Metropolitan Police to former News International Chief Rebekah Brooks, Cameron’s neighbor and a central figure in the hacking scandal.

Cameron, who biography.com says is a descendant of King William IV, was born to a wealthy family and educated at Eton College and The University of Oxford. He studied philosophy, politics and economics and graduated with first class honors. In between stints in government, Cameron worked for seven years at media company Carlton Communications.
