OXFORD —
A student who fell down stairs at a Miami University fraternity house is in fair condition, according to hospital officials.
Oxford Police said Alec Simunich was intoxicated when he fell while at a party at the Sigma Pi house. Simunich was taken to McCollough-Hyde Hospital in Oxford but then on to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton for treatment of head trauma.
Simunich was found bleeding from his ears and his injury was considered life-threatening at the time of the accident.
The campus in Butler County of 16,000 students is home to more than 50 fraternity and sorority chapters.
