MASON —
To prepare for a grand re-opening in May, The Beach Waterpark is hosting a job fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the facility, 2590 Waterpark Drive. The goal is to fill 500 seasonal positions.
General Manager Ralph Vilardo Jr. said those interested need to have a warm handshake, “award-winning attitude, appearance, customer service skills and work ethic.”
“We want to teach people how to work in a fast-paced position, as this is a first job for a lot of young people,” Vilardo said.
Available positions include part-time and seasonal supervisors, food service, bar tending for applicants 21 or older, lifeguards, EMT rescue, park landscaping and maintenance for applicants 18 and older, admissions, seasonal marketing, sales and special events, party captains, gift shop retail and merchandising and game room attendants, according to a media release.
Potential employees are encouraged to fill out an application available on the park’s website prior to the event. Personal identification documents, as well as any certifications in first aid or rescue, are needed for the fair.
Once at The Beach, candidates will be directed to the general admission building.
“As a company with 18 locations, we are very proud to open our newest location in Mason,” said Hank Woodburn, president and owner of Adventure Holdings.
“We want to make a positive impact to this area both by honoring the season passes purchased in 2012 with previous owners, and by creating new, full-time and seasonal jobs this year that the community missed when the park was closed,” he said.
Vilardo said the grand re-opening May 18 also will feature new areas and revitalized attractions.
