Local ‘zombie’ enthusiasts planning walk in downtown area

By Richard Wilson

HAMILTON — Two local zombie enthusiasts are hoping to turn their immortal hometown into “the undead city.”

Tim Couch and Quentin Judd are planning a “Hamilton Zombie Walk/Pub Crawl” through the downtown area.

Couch, an amateur photographer who has participated in similar events in other cities, said a parade of creepily-clad people will walk from the parking lot across from McDonald’s to the High/Main Bridge, then return on the south side and end at Ryan’s Tavern.

Couch said the walk is a way to promote the city and highlight the fact that there are still things to do in the downtown area. He said he plans to contact the city to find out if he needs a parade permit.

The event is scheduled to happen from 8:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17.

Thirty people have already signed up to participate on the event’s Facebook page. For more information, contact Couch at (513) 834-0945, or send an e-mail to perfectpint@yahoo.com.
