HAMILTON —
The Hamilton Fire Department is warning residents of an unauthorized solicitation for donations using the department’s name and IAFF Local 20 Union.
Deputy Chief Curt New said the department was recently informed that an unknown solicitor has been calling residents and asking for charitable donations to support the fire department.
“The City of Hamilton Fire Department and Local 20 have not authorized this activity nor are they a party to it,” New said.
Residents are asked to contact Fire Investigator Tom Angst at 513-785-7510 if they have been solicited for a donation by anyone using the name of the fire department or associated union.
