FAIRFIELD TWP. —
Fairfield Twp. has narrowed the field of candidates in its fire chief search to three.
The three finalists are: James Neidhard, a deputy chief in Washington Twp.; Thomas Snively, an assistant chief from Middletown; and Tim Thomas, an assistant chief in Howland Twp., Trumbull County, according to Township Administrator Michael Rahall. Township trustees interviewed the candidates in executive session Monday night.
Those three candidates scored the highest on an assessment test, Rahall said, adding a decision has not yet been made. Trustees hope to find a permanent chief by the time Interim Chief Trish Brooks’ contract expires at the end of November.
