ARRESTS OF AREA COACHES
Roger L. Fox Jr., of Hamilton, was sentenced to five years of community control after pleading guilty to seven counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor. Fox was a Little League District 9 administrator responsible for setting up state tournaments and aiding in the administrative duties of 12 area Little League organizations, including Hamilton/Fairfield Little League; West Side (Hamilton) Little League; West Chester Liberty Little League; Warren County Little League; Mason Little League; and Butler County Challenger.
Patrick J. Jeanneret, of Cincinnati, was an assistant Lebanon Countryside YMCA swim coach who was fired after being accused of a sex charge involving a swim-team member. He was arrested in April for “taking liberties with a child” in North Carolina while the team was attending a swim meet in Greensboro.
David “Jamie” Wagner, of Monroe, served three years in prison after he was convicted in 2008 of sexual battery in Butler County Common Pleas Court. Wagner is a former Madison High School teacher and softball coach who authorities said had sex with a 17-year-old female student. As a part of his guilty plea, Wagner agreed to surrender his teaching license.
