Fairfield burglary suspects arraigned

FAIRFIELD —

Two men suspected in a residential burglary attempt were arraigned Tuesday morning in Fairfield Municipal Court.

Timothy Dellinger, 37, of Fairfield, and Joseph Scalf, 38, of Mount Healthy, were each assigned $250,000 bond by Judge Joyce Campbell. They are due to appear in court again for a preliminary hearing on Thursday, when the court will determine if there is enough evidence to send the case to the Butler County grand jury.

The charges stem from an incident when officers were called Feb. 21 to the 3900 block of Woodridge Blvd. on a report of someone trying to enter an apartment at that address. When police arrived, the suspects were in a silver jeep attempting to leave. Lock picking tools were found inside their vehicle, as was a vial with Oxycodone pills. Both men were charged with attempted burglary and possessing criminal tools. Dellinger was also charged with drug possession.

They are suspected of other burglaries in the Greater Cincinnati area, police said.
