6:45 p.m. update: Two people who were taken to the hospital after a crash on Interstate 35 in Belton on Tuesday morning were at the front of the Chris Kyle funeral procession riding with Patriot Guards, city spokesman Paul Romer said. He said, however, that there has been no confirmation that they were Patriot Guards.

Two people were taken to Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Romer said, adding they were alert and conscious.

At least one other person had minor injuries.

Romer said that the two people taken to the hospital were from the McLennan County area.
