Police: Thieves take tools, wheelbarrow

Nov. 26

A pressure washer, a scroll saw, a string trimmer and a wheelbarrow were stolen between Nov. 24 and Nov. 26 during a break-in of a garage in the 400 block of Long Street.

Nov. 27

A tool box containing hand tools valued at $1,000 was stolen from a truck between Nov. 16 and Nov. 20 while it was parked in an alley behind a residence in the 200 block of South B Street.

A cell phone was stolen between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. from the 1100 block of Eaton Avenue.

About $3,000, $25 in change and a 9mm handgun were stolen in a burglary that occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. from a residence in the 900 block of Main Street.

A stereo was reported stolen between Oct. 20 and Nov. 27 after a person failed to make monthly payments to ColorTyme, 1486 North Ninth Street. The stereo was valued at $2,375.

A person was arrested between 7 and 7:15 p.m. after taking several books, three strands of LED Christmas lights and two electronic candles without paying for them at the Kroger store, 1474 Main St.

The windows of a minivan and a car were shot out while they were parked about 11:15 p.m. in the 500 block of South Monument Street.

A PlayStation 2 game console and a game were stolen between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. from a residence in the 400 block of Central Avenue.

An attempted burglary was reported between Nov. 16 and Nov. 17 in the 700 block of Ross Avenue. The report was filed with police on Nov. 27.

A lunch bag, a medium bag full of miscellaneous items, miscellaneous paperwork, a work identification badge, a stethoscope and a bag of pens were stolen from a vehicle while it was parked overnight Nov. 20 in the 1400 block of Park Avenue.

A bicycle and a GPS were stolen during a break-in of a garage overnight Nov. 23 in the 2000 block of Pleasant Avenue.

Nov. 28

After an earlier altercation and a police order to leave the Tap Out Sports Bar, 1483 Millville Ave., a woman returned after police left and tried to re-enter the bar. She then kicked in the front door glass, causing it to shatter.

An assault was reported about 7:20 a.m. in the 1100 block of Eaton Avenue.

An assault was reported between 8:30 and 9 a.m. in the 1700 block of Dixie Highway.

Someone fired several shots outside of an apartment building about 11:26 p.m. Nov. 27 in the 500 block of South Monument Street. The next morning, a resident found that her vehicle had been struck with a 9mm round in the passenger door.

A generator was stolen and a lock and chain were cut during an overnight break-in of a garage in the 200 block of South E Street.

An assault was reported about 1 p.m. in the 2200 block of NW Washington Boulevard.

A person’s “release check” from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office was misplaced Nov. 13 in the 700 block of Hanover Street. The $260 check was later cashed with a forged signature.

Someone damaged the passenger side door window of a vehicle that was parked between 3 a.m. and 2:40 p.m. in the 1400 block of Western Avenue.

A person reported being threatened by a person with a knife about 5:55 p.m. in the 500 block of South Front Street.

A back door was kicked in to steal a bicycle between Nov. 26 and Nov. 28 from a residence in the 200 block of Park Avenue.

A tool kit contianing a reciprocating saw, a circular saw, two drills and a flashlight was stolen between 3:30 p.m. Nov. 27 and 33:30 a.m. Nov. 28 from a detached garage in the 100 block of Progress Avenue.

A woman in the 600 block of East Avenue was told between October and Nov. 2 if she did not pay a man some cash, he would release photos of her on Facebook. The report was filed with police on Nov. 28.

A purse containing prescription medication was stolen from a vehicle that was parked about 9:51 p.m. in the 400 block of Charles Street.

Someone stole a delivery package containing a cell phone and two Xbox games from a porch in the 100 block of Sherman Avenue between Oct. 25 and Nov. 28.
