Jan. 17
A large amount of garbage was dumped before 1:21 p.m. on a property in the 1100 block of South Second Street.
Jan. 18
A 19-inch flatscreen television was stolen overnight from a residence in the 300 block of North B Street.
Someone shot multiple rounds in the general direction of a residence in the 1200 block of Lane Street before 11 a.m. Two of the rounds struck the trunk of a vehicle and a windshield of another car parked in that block.
After a verbal altercation between 2 and 2:30 p.m., person broke the cell phone that belonged to a resident in the 1800 block of Edison. The person also stole the resident’s state identification card as well as unknown amounts of blood pressure, anxiety and bi-polar medications.
Two types of medications were reported missing from the inventory at Fort Hamilton Hospital, 630 Eaton Ave. The thefts were believed to have occurred between September and December 2012. The theft report was filed with police on Jan. 18.
Prescription medication, a cell phone, a credit card and $20 were stolen between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. Jan. 14 from a residence in the 600 block of Woodlawn Avenue.
Someone used a debit card and a credit card to make numerous unauthorized purchases between March 1, 2012 and Jan. 18. The victim, who resides in the 1800 block of Hancock Avenue called police after she noticed her bank account was empty.
Two air conditioning units, valued at $2,500 each, were damaged between 3 p.m. Jan. 15 and 3 p.m. Jan. 17 in the 100 block of North Seventh Street. The air conditioning units were damaged to remove the copper parts.
Sometime between 8 and 11 a.m., someone stole $100 from a residence in the 100 block of Main Street.
Multiple firearms were stolen between noon and 2 p.m. during a burglary of a residence in the 1500 block of Brookcrest Drive.
Police arrested suspects after they were found about 11:45 a.m. cutting copper pipe in a vacant house in the 100 block of Hueston Street.
Jan. 19
Someone used a pry tool in an overnight attempt to enter a soft drink machine at Pefferlee Tire & Auto, 990 Main St.
A wallet and other items were taken overnight from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the 900 block of Sanders Drive.
Someone stole a floor jack during an overnight break-in of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of South B Street.
An exterior air conditioning unit and copper pipes were stolen overnight from a vacant house int he 3900 block of Freeman Avenue.
At about 1:30 p.m., a group of youths reportedly threw several rocks at a residence in the 1300 block of Parrish Avenue and broke the kitchen window. The youths then fled on foot.
