An iPhone was stolen before 7:35 p.m. from a residence in the 1000 block of High Street.

Jan. 23

An assault was reported at 2:55 p.m. at Hamilton High School, 1165 Eaton Ave.

A person was arrested after trying to conceal two curtains and some towels in her purse and tried to walk out between 9:50 and 11 a.m. of the Walmart store, 1505 Main St., without paying for the items.

A person took two sets of tray sets and some other miscellaneous merchandise between 4 and 6 p.m. from the Hobby Lobby, 780 N.W. Washington Blvd. The tray sets were valued at $300.

Between Jan. 15 and Jan. 23, someone spray painted the shed behind a residence in the 100 block of Starr Avenue. A marker was also used to write on the siding of the residence.

While getting online to obtain a cash advance between 9 a.m. Jan. 22 and 11 a.m. Jan. 23, a resident in the 1000 block of Allen Avenue told police that after entering the information on the website, someone called her to say she owed the company $650. She said she’d never dealt with the company before and could not owe them anything. The suspect told her she’d better get a lawyer and not tell anyone else about this.

A check card was stolen about Nov. 23 from a resident in the 600 block of North D Street and was used through Jan. 15 to make seven withdrawals and a payment totalling $330.63.

Three suspects were seen parking their vehicle two houses down from the a house about 1:50 p.m. in the 1100 block of Allen Avenue. One of the suspects got out of the car and ran toward the house and took a wheel rim from outside of the garage. The other two suspects drove up and the picked the other suspect up and fled the area.

A person was arrested after stealing a computer about 1:45 p.m. from Hermanos Auto Sales, 735 S. Erie Blvd. and was seen leaving the premises and heading to a nearby pawn shop where the suspect was trying to sell it. The computer was valued at $400.

A check for $200 was stolen from a mailbox at a residence in the 400 block of North Third Street on Jan. 19 and was cashed at a market down the street.

Someone damaged the interior of the front driver’s side door of a vehicle that was parked between 1:43 and 2:50 p.m. in the parking lot of Hamilton Police Headquarters, 331 S. Front St.

A person was arrested about 6:29 p.m. after using a Walmart bag to conceal a gaming head set and two Xbox game and walked out of the Walmart, 1505 Main St., without paying. A security officer tried to stop the suspect who then took off running. Police caught the suspect who was hiding a couple of blocks away. The items were valued at just under $200.

An iPhone was stolen about 11 a.m. from a residence in the 100 block of Knapp Drive.

Two lock pick sets and four cell phone chargers were stolen between 8 p.m. Jan. 22 and 7 p.m. Jan. 23 from a residence in the 1600 block of Shuler Avenue.

A cell phone, prescription medication and $130 were stolen between 7 and 8 p.m. in the 0 to 100 block of North Seventh Street.

Three pairs of shoes were stolen after someone broke out a window of a vehicle that was parked overnight near Park Avenue and D Street.

The owner of a vehicle that was parked about 10:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of Kahn Avenue found some people in his car and they took off running with a leather jacket valued at $800.

Someone broke out the rear driver’s window on a car that got inside and took a case containing work items while the vehicle was parked overnight in the 300 block of Wayne Avenue. The suspect went through the case just down from the car but left everything on a cement stoop.
