Nearly $1,300 of clothing, electronics, snack food and loose change were taken from an unlocked vehicle that was ransacked while it was parked in the first block of Brookwood Avenue.

About $400 in compact discs and a GPS were taken from an unlocked vehicle that was ransacked while parked overnight in the 300 block of Gatewood Court.

Two guitars, valued at $10,000 and $1,000 respectively, along with a $7,000 microphone were taken overnight during a garage break-in in the 500 block of Prytania Avenue.

A resident who let a person into his home about 3:45 a.m. in the 1000 block of Greenwood Avenue was robbed when the visitor let two others into the home. One of the suspects displayed a machete while another put a choke hold on the resident.

A woman was robbed of $19, a cell phone and prescription drugs after she was knocked down about 1:45 a.m. in the first block of Chestnut Street.

A patron at the Arrow Café, at Pleasant and Williams avenues, told police that someone took his wallet alone with prescription medication while he was at the establishment between 6 p.m. July 7 and 12:06 a.m. July 8.

An unknown yellow substance was thrown onto a pickup truck about 10:30 p.m. while it was parked in the 300 block of North C Street.

July 9

A checkbook was taken from a vehicle while it was parked overnight in the 0 to 100 block of Dover Place.

A juvenile who spray painted the rear door of a vehicle while it was parked between 8 and 8:50 p.m. in the 800 block of Welliver Drive was identified. The juvenile and his mother were already walking to meet with the owner as police arrived.

An attempted burglary was reported to have occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. in the 1300 block of Oakmont Avenue.

Hot Wheels cars were reported stolen from a residence between 1 and 4 p.m. in the first block of Petty Drive.

About $200 was reported missing following an afternoon burglary at a residence in the 100 block of Fern Valley Way.

A purse containing $240 was stolen about 6 p.m. from Jocko’s, 725 High St.
