The East High Street Gateway is an important entrance into Hamilton that is in need of a face-lift. The City is improving its first impression with the East High Street Gateway Improvement Project, which will improve traffic flow and enhance the streetscape by:
In addition, Dayton St. and Maple Ave. are being investigated to absorb some traffic flow and intelligent signage is being researched for up-to-date information on train passage through the area. Although not included in the Project, the intersection of High St. and MLK Jr. Blvd. will be reconstructed by adding new turn lanes for better traffic flow, further enhancing the gateway.

Call For Entries
Submissions will be accepted via digital images only.
Artists should submit one CD with five images in .jpg format, no larger than 12 inches by 12 inches.
Include on the CD typed in a Word document a one-page write-up describing the five-piece themed artwork.
Do not write anything on the CD jacket. Each entry will be assigned a number when it is submitted.
Include a completed application form, available at www.fittoncenter.org/news.html.
Deliver the application packet in person or by U.S. Mail to the Hamilton Welcome Center or the InMotion Bicycle Shop, 1 High Street, Hamilton OH 45011
Selected artists will be required to submit the original work for reproduction.
The deadline for submissions is June 28.
